A little Homesick :/

I love being married and having a lil kiddo, but sometimes I can't help but get a lil bit homesick. Especially, when I talk to my mom. There is nothing I would love more than if my lil family could live within a reasonable distance(hour...hour and a half) to my family. Especially these past couple of weeks, for my little sister. There are a few lil brats in her class, that bully her a bit, to the point of her coming home crying. The queen brat actually used to be her best friend and now gets all of the other ones to team up against her. There is nothing harder than hearing she had a bad day at school and then hearing from my mom what happened. Rylie roo has sent me a few texts saying she misses me and wishes I lived closer. For a while, it was just me and Ryland. She was my movie going buddy, the tres amigo in many of my friendships...she is my littlest best friend(well second to littlest). I just wish I could live closer so she didn't have to worry about the lil brateroos and could just come and play with me and Kensi after school while she waits for mom to get off work. It just makes my lil heart cry to hear people are picking on my FIRST lil girl. I love her so much, and for this reason, I wish I could be closer to home.

Among the fact that my mom is my best friend, and I have not so good days if I don't get to talk to her. She's one of the ONLY people who can turn my frown upside down, and she always helps things make sense. My mom is my bestest friend in the whole world, and I just miss her sometimes.

And my dad's the comedian. I can count on him to make goofy faces in pictures, crack a joke when I need to hear one the most, or if someone is messing with his gals--watch out-- he'll put them in their place. I love my family...and it's hard being so far away from them. That's all.... :( Luckily!!! Me,Kensi, and Bri are going out to see them in July-August. Kensi and I are going to go out around my mom's birthday and then Bri is going to come out before Kensi's birthday...then we'll head home a lil bit after my birthday. It's going to be a Birthday Party Extravaganza!!! I'm so excited to go home--- I haven't been home in like,a year and a half. Which is hard!! We are going to take Kensi to Jersey Shore and Hershey park and lots of other fun things!! Most of all, I'll get to just be with my other people.

Pennsylvania.. is HANDS down the PRETTIEST place, we've ever lived :D

Chatty Kensi!!!

Kensi is our lil phone talker. She LOVES talkin to her MiMi. It's the cutest thing-- everyone else she just sits and stares at the phone but whenever she hears my mom's voice she gets excited and just starts a-gooin and a-gahin away....with a few fart noises and lion roars ha She also thinks she needs to hold my phone all the time, so she got my old one that doesn't work anymore to slobber on!!!

Keeping up with the Lowes ha

What have we been up to lately??? Well it was St. Paddy's day a couple of days ago so we all just wore our green and tried our best not to get pinched!!! The morning of St. Paddy's day, I went and got my hair cut! I love my lil hairdresser, she's such a lil sweetie. My hair doesn't look too different... just shorter. We tried messy hair parted in the middle-- NOT my thing. This perfectionist cannot rock a doo that has nooooooo rhyme or reason to it. ha My sister, Mads, me and Kensi went down to my Grandma Hansen's for her lil birthday and got yummy Glades and then just hung out at our house.

Bri's rents were up this weekend so we had dinner with them on Friday, and then Saturday, Bri went and just had a rents and just him hang out day, which he really had fun doing!!!!

This weekend, I was sick, and drugged up on Benadryl soooooooo I slept more than normal and was a lil outta it ha. We all went over to my sister Madison's house yesterday for a movie night which was way fun!! We watched 300.... they were so dang tough!!!! Holy Moly!!! It was super fun-- always a blast o go over to Mads' for a chill night. :D

Today was church and Sunday nap day!!! AAAAAAAAmazing. Sunday is just not complete without church and a nap. ha

Imaginary Shopping Spree :D

So, when you're a newly married couple/family with a dog and sweet lil baby with needs, it doesn't leave much room for the women who live for shopping to get to go on shopping sprees. Which is why they invented the internet, so that while you are trying to avoid the mall so you aren't tempted, you can still lust after all the pretty new clothes the new season brings. While on my imaginary shopping spree today, I found a few things at AE that I would love to have, if I ever find that magical money tree. I'm convinced this summer is going to be the summer of sundresses, which makes me think I should get back to my Texas roots and get some cowboy boots to go with them. ha Which is a purchase Bri found quite funny haha

The denim jacket, boots, and white eyelet dress I'm thinkin I'll wear for family pics, and get Kensi something along the same lines. White dress, denim jacket, and baby boots :D ha

This lil outfit would just be for on days when I want to look cute: Sweater, Belt, and Dress with boots/flip flops!

And then for my park adventures with Kensi-- I need these shorts and to find some just cute t-shirts. And of course these flip flops!!!

And then lastly: I love this lil sweater, for days I want to be dressier with jeans :D

ugh... so many cute things... so not enough money!!! I think I'll make up holidays :D Toodles Ya'll!!!

Hip Cast Adventure Update :D

Today, bright and early in the morning, Kensi had her lil appointment to get her cast switched out. She woke up so happy and she just growled and smiled all the way up to Primary Children's. She was being such a good lil sport and wasn't even too upset about the fact she couldn't have anything to eat. Then, the surgery got delayed because of an emergency surgery that they had to do in her designated room and then she got be one sad lil bug-a-boo. I was so glad when they finally came and got her because I was feeling so sad because the only thing I could give her to make her happy was a no-no. Atleast, the binky she normally hates helped keep her happy for a lil while and standing up with her swaying back and forth. The procedure was quick and easy and they called me back pretty soon to go be with her when she woke up. She was a lil bit sad but got in a better mood as soon as she got some apple juice and snuggle time with mommy!!! We only had to stay like 45 minutes after her lil surgery and then we got to go home. She's got a brand new CLEAN hot pink cast on and I'm so happy because this one's a lil bit lower, and you can see her belly button! She's lost a lil bit of weight it looks like. Her tummy looks way flat compared to pre-cast Kensi. Maybe I need one of these things to help lose some weight haha She's as happy as ever just been a tad sleepy today because of the anesthesia. :D

Now for the best news ever:

KENSI GETS HER CAST OFF FOR GOOD ON APRIL 28TH!!! I can't wait to play with her lil legs and cute lil tummy again and be able to snuggle her real close. So so happy!!! This has been one crazy lil adventure in Kensi's lil life and I think we'll all be so happy when she gets this lil thing off. Good-bye splits and plaster baby...Hello crawling and lil miss get into everything!!!

Decorating Dreams

So, when I get bored, I start dreaming up how I really want my house to look. And then I start online shopping. I'm content with my lil apartment. The furniture we have in our living room is just great, for an apartment. But, when we get a house I want a lil bit nicer furniture and Bri agrees. Then all of the stuff we have will go in a playroom/mancave for Brian.

I can't wait til Bri graduates!!! GARDNER VILLAGE HERE WE COME!!!

My Decorating Heaven on Earth :D

Bri agreed to let me get some new living room furniture from there. We both just LOVE their couches and chairs-- super comfy. I already have it planned. Couch is going to be big black and white check print. And then a comfy chair in a black and white damask print. And then an old looking black WOODEN rocking chair with a black and white print cushion on it(I'll have to see what small print I can find that looks good with my other two prints ;D). It will look super cute!!! Country Furniture and Gifts is going to love us-- If they don't already since that's where most of our decorations have come from :D

And then on those chairs and couches, I'm going to have my grandma make 2 pillows for the couch, with a lil bird on each of the pillows, and then have her make one for the chair with a letter "L" on it. Again, those will be black and white ha Then I'm going to move Kensi's white dresser into our living room to use as a TV stand, since I'm getting her a new dresser from PB Kids, It was either buy a new one for 400 there or a used one at a consignment store for our living room for 3oo. I thought the new one that was nicer was a better day, and that price isn't too bad!!! Then I have the cute black side table Bri got me for our lamp. It's going to look a lot like our living room now... just de- IKEAd :D ha

And then I found this lil gem that was in our price range for a new kitchen table since ours the paint is chipping and bubbles are forming underneath it all over the place.



Don't worry though, our IKEA table will also go down in the basement/playroom and be used as a game table. That's what table cloths are for-- which is what I'll get until I have the money saved up for a new table. So until I get my dream table, Hello black and white checked table cloth :D With either an all white flower arrangement of one of the cute Candle holder things to go in the middle of the table.

I can't wait til I have my lil house decorated exactly how I wanted. It's going to require some saving of money and patience, but it can be done :D If you didn't have to go to school for it, I would so be an interior decorator. I would love to spend somebody else's money and make tons of dream rooms haha Oh well, I'll just have to play majorly in mine. Luckily, there are always kids rooms to decorate to give me my decorating fix when everything else is done ha I better stop dreaming up my big kid house and start fixing din din now!!! Toodle- Oo!!!

Church!!

I'm writing this post because ever since Kensi got her cast, we haven't been able to go to church. AND I miss it. I miss all the talks that our friends at church give. I miss our Bishop-- He's such a cool guy. I miss waking up early and getting all dolled up and playing dress up with Kensi getting her in her Sunday best. I miss going and feeling happy when I get home and then taking a Sunday nap. I.Miss.Church.

I'm so grateful that I was born a lil Mormon chick. It is by the far the best religion in my opinion. I love that no matter where you live, it's still the same. Same beliefs, same people, same way of operating. I love all the things we teach our kids. Even if I weren't LDS, they would still be the morals I would want my kids to live by. I love that the people are more like a family. Example: the Relief Society came over to check on Kensi and me after they found out she had had a lil surgery. They are such sweethearts. . I'm not trying to preach or anything, I just love my church and religion. :D

It's just on this Sunday I was especially bummed about missing church. We were going to go, because we went last week and Kensi did good. Atleast through sacrament. :D But she's got a lil cold, and with RSV still going around, I don't want it getting to be something worse. Next week we are going to definitely go back, because a Sunday is not a good Sunday without going and feeling Spiritually happy and uplifted.

That's all I'm feeling this beautiful Spring Sunday- woke up to Kensi crying per usual but something different today too, birds chirping! I love spring. No Spring is as amazing as Texas spring because Michigan, Utah, and Pennsylvania have been like a continuation of Winter til May... with a few amazing sunny Spring days. Yay for Spring coming!!!

Now if we can just get rid of all this darn snow that randomly likes to come back! How is everybody else's Sunday going??? Hopefully just dandy!!! Toodles for now!!!

Random Thoughts :D

So I haven't been very good about blogging this month, because there is absolutely NOTHIN' exciting going on in March(yet). ha Which is not necessarily a bad thing-- actually after all of the hectic months that we have had, it has been so nice to not have some wild and crazy unexpected things happening! We've just been hanging out as a family and just enjoying the calmness going on right now. Kensi is just growing(long ways, not so much weight wise since the cast kinda controls that). She is such a super happy, sweet, CUTE baby. Oddly, I have not taken any pictures recently. So unlike me I know, but we have been hanging out in our comfies everyday and just enjoying being lazy. Even though, I can't have too many lazy days since there is cleaning to do, taking care of Kensi between naps, and giving Daisy pup the attention she needs while Kensi is sleeping.

I know I don't say much about Daisy, but she is just the best lil dog. We got lucky when Bri met her owners from Wyoming and bought her as an engagement prop ;) ha She is just super snuggly and wants to be with us CONSTANTLY. Wherever your feet are, she's only a few paws away ha She randomly does house checks, which are when she jumps in every single window and barks, just so EVERYONE knows we have a tough cookie keeping us safe. She loves her lil kid sister, Kensi. They are buddies. Even when Kensi pulls her hair, she just kisses her. We love Daisy, even with her occasional accidents she has. She's potty trained, but sometimes is forgotten about with Kensi stealing her spotlight. But, she RARELY has them. She loves her walks, and in the fall/winter, sleeps curled up right by me underneath the blankets. I like falling asleep snuggling with my real life teddy bear... she's the best dog in the world.

Now back to my number one girl-- Kensi is getting a new cast on Tuesday. I was thinking about getting a different color, but out of the highlighter cast colors the hot pink is the best. Ya'll know what this means?!?!?! WE ARE HALFWAY DONE WITH THIS DANG THING!!!! This makes Bri and I and Kensi too I'm sure, so ridiculously happy. I can't wait for her to start crawling, and rolling over anymore, and to play with her cute chubby belly and chunker legs. It will be a good day. :D Kensi turned 7 months today. I can't believe how time is flying by so fast. Pretty soon she's going to be one. I think Kensi needs her lil brother Braxton or lil sister Emersyn to come down soon :D Or maybe I just want another one!

Actually, I KNOW I want another one soon. It would be perfect timing because lil baby Lowe two wouldn't be here til after Bri graduates and has a dang good job. I just cannot wait to have another little kiddo that looks like Bri and Me. :D Speaking of Bri and good jobs-- he loves his job. He is stressed with school but is the happiest I have seen him in awhile. I'm so grateful he found the job he has.

Lastly, I am so giving a shout out to Bath & Body Works-- I LOVE their wallflowers. Right now my house smells like yummy frosted cupcakes which is amazing that I've found something to get rid of Daisy's puppy smell. So thanks to them.... I smell like I've been baking something delicious all day long.

I'm sure there will be more blogs coming real soon with Kensi's second surgery(more like just cast switcheroo--nothing bad :D), St. Paddy's day, and Daisy's 2nd Birthday!!! If I don't post before St. Patrick's Day again, be sure and wear your green so you don't get PINCHED!!!! I know our lil family is all ready for it with our, well, Bri and Kensi's new green shirts. Our Lil Buddies :D

Kensi and Daisy are just the best of friends!! Daisy is ALWAYS sitting by her, protecting her I think :D And Kensi just loves to stare at Daisy. She'll reach her lil hands out and lean forward in her cast to grab her lil puppy to give her kisses. It's really cute. Daisy is a good lil sport and even though Kensi possibly pulls her hair sometimes... she just gives Kensi a lil kiss and gently backs away. She is really just the sweetest puppy ever and sooooo good with Kensi.

Hip Cast Update:

I am soooooo used to it and in a way... like it??? It's nice because she can't move so if I need to finish doing my hair or pick out an outfit, I can just lay her on my bed since she's not going anywhere. Or if I need to make her a bottle, instead of pulling the bouncer out and getting it set up for her, I can just plop her in the chair she's in above(which is actually her favorite seat in the house) and go hurry and do it. Kensi likes to rock back and forth in it, it is one of her new tricks ha Also, she is constantly rollin her feet. We go in again in just two weeks for them to switch out her cast. I'm trying to decide if I want hot pink again since white is not an option. She's doing good and I think I'm finally adjusted to it. We are going to brave church this week, which is something we haven't tried yet just because she'll randomly get ticked that she can't move and for some reason, it's on saturdays and/or Sundays. We way have missed going to church though so we are going to put our big gal panties on and tough it out this week :D

What else have we been up to??? Well, Bri has had mid-terms this past week and has just been busy studying and sleeping when he has a break. As for me??? I've just got my creative wheels a-turning trying to come up with the cutest dang Easter baskets ever been made :D Ooo and who can forget my hunt for cute green shirts to give my lil crew on St. Paddy's day so we don't get PEENCHED!!! haha Found Kensi's and Brian's.... still on a hunt for me... Most likely will have to get my first Hollister button up shirt ha I am also always daydreaming of how I want our apartment to look. I got a dang cute frame at Target the other day and also found a DANG cute clock for our bedroom(mother's day treat maybe) haha

Lastly, SUMMER IS COMING FOLKS!!! Which sadly means, swimsuit season. Since, I just don't know if it is possible for me to have my high school rock hard bod back, I need to find a dang cute swimsuit. It's between these two, I LOVE the 40's style retro swimsuits. :D
