NOT a Happy Camper :(

So I think I have been so excited for my mom coming out, I totally forgot why she was coming... Kensington's lil surgery :'( Bri and I were out shopping today for her 6 month bday(got a cute dollhouse piggy bank, lil white dog stuffed animal that looks like Daisy for Daisy to give to her, and on Bri's next paycheck I'll get her jewelry box that plays a song when ya open it-- SUPER cute) AND for her surgery. We had to get a beanbag(thank you SOOOOOO much Target for having a cheap one since me no likey the beanbags) and also a lil hospital treat-- this DANG cute bunny(thanks amazon for selling cute NAMEBRAND stuff for cheap).

That was all fun, but then it hit me when I was changing her into her jammies and playing with her lil legs and feet and tickling to hear her laugh on her sides, tummy, and under armpits when she was just in her diaper that I won't be able to do that in a week and 3 days. I know it's a silly thing, but I LOVE her lil rolls and how cute she feels when she's in just her birthday suit and diaper ;). I LOVE snuggling with her and how she falls asleep on me when she eats her bottle and goes down for her nap at 2:00. She just started doing this again, and I think it was just a tender mercy from the big man upstairs to let me have my snuggler back for a couple weeks before she's rocking plaster. It's going to be alright... I know that... but it's HARD!!! I wish her hip would just magically fix herself before we go in for the surgery. I don't want my lil munchkin to wake up in the hospital a plaster baby and wonder what the heck is going on. I want my giggly, happy, AMAZINGLY CUTE, perfect baby to not have to go through this. I love her so much....she is my whole entire world. She makes every day a lot sweeter than before and a lot happier filled with tons of smiles and giggles. She's just a lil angel straight from heaven. Please have her in your lil prayers on February 8th...and me because I think she's going to handle it a lot better than this hott mess of a mom haha I love Kensi... and that's really all the news for the day ha

MiMi Is COMING!!!

Soooo-- I am getting so dang excited... my hott mama will be here in LESS than two weeks-- February 5th to be exact :D I haven't seen her since lil Miss Kensington was born-- which has been 6 months... and it's been way too long! I miss my 4 month breaks at home in between semesters.... being married and having my own family is the BEST thing ever... but I wish my mom, dad, and lil sis Ryland were a block away!! ha

Even though she's comin out for Kensi's surgery, there will be fun stuff TOO!!! For starters Kensi's half birthday!!!!! We are going to have just a teeny tiny party(our family, Mads, and mom) ha I'm going to cook the finest of my dinners I can cook-- Meatloaf haha and then get Sweet Tooth Fairy cupcakes for everybody... yes.. even Kensi!!!! We'll unwrap presents and all that fun stuff!!! So excited.

And of course she'll be here for Valentine's Day too!! I'm trying to figure out what to get my ValentineSSSS(Bri and Kensi) this year... Kensi will be easy but Bri is saying he wants clothes. Last time I bough him clothes he took all $200 worth of them back-- he liked nothing-- so imagine how excited I am to try and find him clothes :/ He's tricky to buy clothes for..... but we can do it!! ha
Needless to say I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited to see my mom! It will be so fun just getting to be with her :D Kensi just loves her MiMi-- she talks on the phone EVERY day to my lil mom-- she only will talk back on the phone to my mom, Mads, and Bri guy!! It's so so cute... she just cheeses really big while my mom talks to her... today she tried to kiss the phone :D :D :D I love my lil Kensi girl so dang much and we both cannot wait for MiMi to get here!!!

Things I've Learned

• A clean house is a happy house-- if it's dirty I can NOT relax.
• Shout is the best invention ever made!!! Without it tons of cute clothes would be ruined by spit up.. and oopsie daisies in diapers ;)
• ALL little girls should have some type of bow in their hair-- or else they most likely will look like a boy... because let's face it... boy or girl most babies look the same... that's what bows and baby girl jewelry is for... ANDDDDDDD dresses
• Everyday is like playing baby dolls non stop... and yes... playing dress up every day is SOO fun!!!
• My colored pile of laundry should just be referred to as pinks... and darks should be called Brians clothes... while whites... should be the undies pile ha because that is what each pile includes ha
• Girls night is a must have when ya are a stay at home mom-- just nice to go out with the girls... plus Kensi since she is a girl too :D
• Even when ya are on a diet... Ya should treat yourself to Sweet Tooth Fairy or Cheesecake Factory OCCASIONALLY ha
• I LOVE DECORATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
• Diet Dr. Pepper will ALWAYS hit the spot :D
• I cannot have chips in my house... or the whole bag will be gone in a day or two... I know I know.. shame on me :/
• Avoiding Gardners Village, American Eagle, Target, Rodworks, and Potterybarn Kids is a must... or I will feel bad about something that I cannot buy ha It's the best thing I can do for my wallet ha
• I don't go to the mall to shop anymore... instead I like to get my ego boosted by all the compliments Kensi gets... makes me feel proud ha
• Daisy will always be a clutz...and a ditz... and I'm okay with that ha
• A home cooked meal ALWAYS tastes better than any fast food restaurant
• NEVER tell anybody any of your good ideas-- there are copy cats and idea thiefs ha
• The snow isn't soooo bad-- when ya don't have to go anywhere!!!
• Saving money for things I want is hard-- but pays off... sooo not worth the credit card debt... that stresses Bri and me out so much!
• Ironing is a must-- wrinkly clothes just don't look as good ha (wierd pet peeve my mom passed on to me) ha
• Whoever invented phones was a genious... and knew how much mommy's girls need them
• When you are married no matter how happy ya are-- lil tiffs will happen... and they are always funny... later ha
• Bri is the sweetest/cutest/most hardworking/all around best guy ever!!! I got lucky
• Kensi is my entertainment... who needs TV?!?!
• You can't make everyone happy-- no matter how hard ya try
• Best friends are hard to come by-- that's why I stick with my sisters and mom for my besties... Ooo and of course Bri and Kensi too :D
• You can't take a second of life for granted--- just smile and laugh your way through it :D
• No point sweating the small stuff
• Kensi is my whole life :D
• All mommies think their baby is the cutest... I know I sure do ha
• Kensi is going to be able to get away with anything... that smile of hers just makes my heart so dang happy
• Dogs refuse to go potty in the snow... Take daisy... she'd rather do the potty dance for days than brave the snow... IDIOT ha
• PICK YOUR FIGHTS... fighting over where the dishes go/ putting the toilet seat down does nothing... just silently fix it and in your head think ooo dear... will he ever learn ha
• Family is the best thing ever
• All that cleaning my mom had me do that I hated at the time finally paid off :D
• KIDS make life complete :D I'm glad we had one right away
• Being a stay at home mommy is the best job ever... even if sometimes it is exhausting
• Never underestimate the power of a good nap
• Church on Sunday is a must-- just completes the day :D
• And lastly-- from Moulin Rouge-- The greatest thing you'll ever learns is to love and be loved in return :D

I love my lil family-- they make me so happy... my Hansen family and the one that I've created for myself. I love my happy lil life... with it's occasional downs. Life is good... Sunday Funday!!!!

I LOVED THIS SUNDAY!!! We woke up bright and early and went to our church!! Which was so so good today-- had a lil returned missionary giving a talk which are normally dang good talks :D Then we came home and had a nice lil Sunday nap-- which is my personal favorite thing about Sundays ha Then we had my older sister Mads over for a yummy yummy dinner!!!! ANDDDD we watched one my very most favorite movies... Moulin Rouge. If you haven't seen it-- RENT IT! It is the best-- a lil wierd at the beginning but it gets dang amazing :) OO and of course Jerseylicious was on-- A few things about that show 1) I LOVE OLIVIA-- can everyone PLEASE stop pickin on her?!?! 2) I HATE DORIA-- she is a big fat bully and is rude to Olivia-- luckily next week at the fashion show--she screws the pooch MAJORLY :D Bwahaha 3) I want GiGi to cut my hair :D 4) Hallelujah Olivia is going to work for Anthony!!!! That is the Jerseylicious run down!! haha It's amazing-- much classier than Jersey Shore but equally funny! Kensi also had a giggle fest-- she has ticklish armpits haha Mmm her laugh is so dang cute!!! Lastly, my day was amazing because Kensi looked FREAKIN adorable for church today!! We may have been a few minutes late to church to allow a photo session real quick... :/ haha Here are a few of my favs!!

Soooo... our lil Kensi girl is teething and baby tylenol is our best friend!!! Just give it to her every 4-5 hours and the pain is gone and she's her happy go lucky self. Only thing is... she's a lil drool monster... all her clothes are soaked in spiteroo within seconds of puttin them on ha

So Kels has been insisting for some time now that I should do blog posts. So here it goes. Last weekend, I had a four day weekend because my department at work needed to complete some end-of-year reports so we worked on our new year holiday. So, Kels, Kensi, Daisy and I managed to fit in my tiny focus and drove down to St. George to visit mis padres (Especially my mom who is on Chemo treatments). It felt so good to actually talk to my mom in person. I admire her positive attitude. I've heard that doctors have noticed that there is a stong correlation between a positive attitude and surviving cancer... so that gives me a lot of hope. We played a lot of games, watched a funny slide show of my parents when each of their families lived in Iran and traveled to cool places in Europe and the Middle East. The funniest, my Dad was in a play in which he had to wear an "elf" costume. What's more, he was twice as tall as every other kid in the play so he looked like Buddy in "Elf." It was funny. Also, we made sure Kels got her daily Jack-in-the-Box since there isn't one in SLC.

You may be wondering why I have a chart posted above. Definitely new to this blog. Kels teases me that if I had a blog, I would just fill it with sports and finance stuff. Well, I find it interesting. While we were down in St. George, my Dad gave me some cool investing tips. This chart was the most useful to me. So, in 2008, the market collapsed and people lost 100's of thousands of dollars. My Dad gets a weekly newsletter with the chart above. If the blue line is above the red line (the market), you buy. If the blue line is below the red line, you sell. Simple as that. By following this guideline, investors can get out of the market at its high point and get back in at its low point. So even if the market has a gain of 0% over the next ten years (as the last ten years have been), huge gains can be made because stocks are very cyclical. Am I the only one that thinks this chart is cool? Wow, I'm a Nerd!!!

On a different, less nerdy note, I love my family. Kels is my best friend. I love talking and joking with her. Kensi is so cute. I love how she gets a big smile on her face when I talk to her. Kind of melts me. And Daisy is a little crazy but she keeps us laughing as she chases her tail, runs and smacks into the window, locks herself in rooms, and falls off the bed haha.

Holy Cow--Kensi is 5 MONTHS!!!

Yesterday our lil sweetie pie turned 5 months!!! I can't believe how big she is getting soooooo fast!!! She just gets cuter and cuter everyday... we are thinking we have ourselves a blue eyed gal!!! She's almost 6 months and her eyes haven't changed at all. She is giggling these days... at the most random things!! She'll only show me her new trick and only once a day if I'm lucky. ha She's determined to sit up by herself... doesn't care so much about rolling over but she just wants to sit up and look at the world ha Kensi LOVES her cereal rice-- we are starting her on baby food tomorrow... we were going to today but she was not a happy camper!!! OUR LIL GIRL STARTED TEETHING!!! She barely ate...would not take her naps... and just went to sleep because of exhaustion I think. Baby tylenol is our bestie right now!!! We had a quick lil photo shoot today... in the picture taking chair of course ;) She doesn't look the happiest since her lil mouth was hurtin her today. Operation SliM DoWn!!!!

Sooo... Bri guy's and my New Years Resolution was to lose weight... We both wanna get back down to what we were when we very first started datin!!!!

So for me... that's the ten lbs. I gained when I moved out to Utah... had a lil too much Taco Bell haha My new best friend is Jillian Michaels.... We started doin the 30 day Shred and I have no doubt in my mind we are going to lose some serious weight haha

That combined with my new daily lunch...100 calorie campbells soup and I can see my goal!!!

Ooo and the fact I kicked my diet dr pepper addiction when I was pregnant!!!

Ooo and a biggie we have been doing for a long time-- NO JUNK FOOD IN OUR HOUSE!! Chips are the death of me... and anything sweet is bri's lil temptaion haha

I'm extremely sore but feeling very good!!!Bri feels the same ha Look out beach... me and Bri are goin' to look GOOOOOOOOOD!!! :D

I WILL LOOK LIKE THIS AGAIN!!! 10 lbs is totally doable :D

Wish us luck!!! If the movies right and we do what we are supposed to...we can learn 20 lbs in 30 days... hehe YESSSSSSS!!!! Toodles for now :D :D :D

So... my lil sister Ryland just sent me some new pics... and all I have to say is man is my mom babelicious!!! I sure hope I can look like her at 40... if I could... I would be one happy camper!!!!

I love this lady so dang much... she is my best friend in the whole wide world!!! I am hands down a total mommy's girl!!! She is the most amazing woman ever... she can talk to a brick wall(so wish I could do that) and she is the most friendly, bubbly, happy person I know. I wish I was more like her in that way. Love you so dang much mom and can't wait for ya to come out in February!!! Let the fun begin hehe

Happy New Years!!!!

Our New Years this year was sooooooooooo much fun!!! We did our yearly tradition of eating out at Outback :D Our lil family went with the Brownies and it was as yummy as ever!! Then we came back to our apartment and put Kensi to sleep and then the real party began!!! The boys were way into playing SuperMario on the Wii and Mads and I were just playin all kinds of games and making yummy food to snack on. We had Martinellis,my dads yummy chip dip, and Mads made her signature Brownies. Ooo and who can forget the Cheese Ball. After we told the boys we were going to go get our own Wii controllers so we could all play they finally decided to play some games with us. We played Scrabble and this wayyyyyyy fun game ticket to ride!! We ended up playing games til about 7 in the morning. It was tons and tons of fun!! Here are some pics of our fun lil party!!!!

Lil Lowe Family Update :D

I can't believe in under a month... Kensi is going in to get her lil surgery done on her hip!!! I called the lil doc this week because it donned on me... I NEED TO GET EVERYTHING READY FOR IT!!! Mainly... buy a bunch of stuff to help with when she has her Spica cast on. Our lil munchkin can ONLY wear dresses. I thought we could maybe get super big pants... but that will not work because of how her lil legs will be bent in the cast. Lucky for us Grandma MiMi works at baby gap... and LOOOOOVES spoiling little Kensi.. so we are set on dresses and onesies to hang out in. She's also going to need to get a lil beanbag... luckily we found a supercute one that she can just use for a long time even when she's a big kid. When she's old enough she can go sit in it and read or color or whatever. Look how cute this lil thing is :D

The only thing we have to buy that is HARD to find (which ya think wouldn't be) are nightgowns. I finally found some cute ones at Babies R Us.. the problem with all the other stores is once lil girlies are in size 6-12 months.. they don't make nightgowns anymore... just long johns. Now we just gotta buy everything!!! Dear Money tree you can start growin in our backyard........ NOW!! haha

I found out a lil bit more about her surgery... chances are they won't even have to make a cut to fix it... They'll just pop her hip back into place under anesthesia. Good news is even if they do have to make a cut--- it will be teeny tiny and by the time we see her cute chunky lil legs again we won't even be able to see it!!! Another place... chances of anything bad happening during surgery are slim to none(which is any moms concern) so that puts my mind more at ease. The lil nurse said the hardest part is the Spica cast... and the whole process is the toughest on mommy!!! I feel very at peace about it now...and now am just ANXIOUS to get it done and over with and then Kensi and I will go on our just girls vacation back to see my parents in Pennsylvania.

This is like the spica cast lil Kensi will be wearing... Nurse said this is the hardest thing bout the whole surgery and that they are the stinkiest thing ever and there's NOTHING ya can do bout it.. That will be very hard for this clean freak haha

Other news with the Lil Lowes:

Kensi is almost 6 months!!! She's going to get her lil beanbag, a piggy bank to put money in for her college/wedding fund(her accountant daddys idea), and a jewelry box for her lil bracelets and bows!!!Oo and a lil frame for her room(which is more for me ;D) We have so many pics of her and NOWHERE to put em ha Another big present: HER MIMI WILL BE IN TOWN!!! My mom is coming out to help with the surgery... atleast that's the plan so far... fingers crossed hahaha

We are going to get her the itty bitty one that says giggle... if that doesn't describe her we don't know what does hehe

Brian started his new job and LOOOOOOOOVES it!!!! He's working anywhere between 30-40 hours a week. It's challenging but he loves the people he works with it and his everyday work tasks really interest him!!! Another plus... more than likely they'll offer him a job there when he graduates and he'll be making 60,000 dollars a year... which is DANG good for a Newbie Graduate!! Bri's pretty excited and we've started looking at houses in Utah... more than likely we'll be neighbors with my sister Madison in the cute lil townhomes she lives in!!! Bri has also started school.... he's not so excited for this semester... He's takin 15 credits and is a lil worried about his work load!!! I'm so lucky to have such a hardworking husband. :D I was going to do my part this semester but because of the surgery can't... Bri said Kensi REALLY needs her mommy these next 3-4 months :D

As for me, I'm just lovin bein a stay at home mom!!! The Christmas decorations are down, which is always sad, but now the house is back in order!!! I spend my nights dreaming of my perfect house and my days playing with our cute lil smiley, giggly, chatty, SWEET Kensi :D Ooo and who can forget laughing at the Crazy Daisy!!!

Life is very good for us right now... We don't know how we got so lucky but somehow we did!!! Well that's all for now!!! Hope ya'll had a fun Christmas and New Years Eve!!! Toodle-oo ya'll!!! :D
