Lets do Time Warp AGAIN!!!!

So every Tuesday night we always have GLEE night with Mads(either at her house or ours)!!! We absolutely love it!!!!

Last night they did Rocky Horror Picture Show-- which sent me and Mads on a mad hunt to two Targets and one Wal-Mart in hopes of finding the dvd--too bad for us they only had the blue ray!! Anyways... we went back to her place and ordered it that and some other fun Halloween movies(so Mads could get free shipping ;)) haha We got that and Lil Shop of Horrors(one of my favs... LOVE the dentist in it aka Steve Martin) and Hocus Pocus. :D I normally am not one to get all excited for Halloween but I am this year. We have so many fun things planned this weekend. Friday night we are going to be at Maddy's for Halloween movie night(which I'm sure Bri is thrilled for haha). Saturday is the day of Tricks and Treats and all of us are going to go hang out at Golden Gram and watch her give out treats on her all time FAV holiday. Then Sunday down to Spanish Fork for a Mystery Dinner at the cabin and just fun with family. I'm so so excited... and plan on taking TONS of pictures :D I can't wait to dress Kensi up in her two WAY cute lil Halloween Costumes she got from her grandma's :D She's going to look adorable in her Lady Bug costume from Grammy Lowe and her lil piggy costume from Grandma MiMi :D

In other news: it was the first snow today-- can I just express how unpleased I am with this?!?! Being a Texas gal I HATE the cold and only like to see snow ONCE a year so that I can make one snowman and then would choose NOT to get it again til next year. Sadly... We live in Utah and I have a feeling we are going to get a lot more snow then normally which makes me sad :( Luckily, Bri and I are on the same page of wanting to get somewhere warmer as soon as we can. Until then though, I have my favorite winter treats. Such as the best lunch ever: VEGETABLE BEEF SOUP. Campbell's you rock my socks for making this yummy yummy soup that tastes amazing with milk and bread and butter. Also... there is NOTHING better to drink then Stephens Mint Chocolate Truffle hot chocolate when I get inside from the winter wonderland. MMM these things make it totally worth it :D

Pumpkin TENT!!!!

So today Bri and I had BIG plans to take our lil Kensi to a pumpkin patch!!! That plan didn't quite go as we planned... the only thing close to that was Cornbelly's and ya had to pay ten bucks to get in even if all ya wanted was to get a pumpkin! That was the first thing that turned us off because Kensi couldn't jump on the bounces and it was TOO cold to get lost in a corn maze... then we got a glimpse of their pumpkin selection... they were all thrown in a pile on top of each other and black soooooooooo we decided to go somewhere else!!! So we grabbed a bite to eat at Chili's(always a good idea) and went to a pumpkin TENT!!! Bri and I said we wished we were in Texas or Michigan because we loved their pumpkin patches there and especially the apple orchards in Michigan with amazing cider and doughnuts!!! Anyways.... we found ourselves a fat old pumpkin and Kensi even got her a lil baby pumpkin. Bri was hauling our BIG one to pay and me and Kensi were just lookin at the itty bitty pumpkins and I was talkin to her and pointed at one and said that's a cute one... and she said A-Gah and smiled...so I decided she liked that pumpkin and we bought that for her too haha Here are some pics we took when we got home...since the tent was not photo op cute haha It would be like taking pics while grabbin one out of the bins at wal-mart haha :D

One more little thing--- So we got home and could not see our Daisy pup anywhere in our lil apartment... her toys were scattered all over the place but no sign of her anywhere. It scared us half to death... then we remembered our bathroom door will shut itself if not all the way opened so we looked in their and sure enough our lil funny white dog had locked herself in there. haha She's always good for a laugh.

Things I La La LOVE Right Now!!!

So right now... Me, Mads, and Kensi have a weekly treat that we get and it is AMAZING lemme tell ya :D We go and get a YuMmY cupcake from this way cute lil Cupcake shop!!!

They have them ALL over Salt Lake and they cook up the best lil treats you could ever dream of!!! My personal fav is their DELISH coconut one... Of course Mads loves the Pumpkin one because she is obsessed with all things pumpkin. We love this lil place and if you haven't had it and can-- you should definitely go hop in your lil car and zoom over to one(our fav one is in Draper) and get yourself a lil treat :D

Other things on my mind right now:

Christmas is coming and I cannot help but make my Christmas list for that cute lil chubby guy Santa(aka my lil Mom) like I've done ever since I was just a lil tyke...

Things that I love and think I need

These sweaters from none other than American Eagle

I love them because they are not like all my other sweaters I have and I'm really sick of the same old sweaters and these are cute lil stay at home mommy tops :)

Also.... I need to get Kensi a stocking that matches the ones me and Bri got from my mama sita last year--Sadly they don't make our exact ones we got last year... but this is pretty much the same thing with ribbon(may need to buy one for each of our future kiddos so they all match bahaha) I am really bummed about that and even called PB Kids customer service in hopes they still offered the solid red option haha:

yes... we need this for Kensi's room and it is actually right in our price range :D so YAY for us!!!! After we have this I will be more than happy with her lil room... I just need a place to store all her bows, socks, shoes, toys, binkies, books, and other randoms!!! Her lil dresser drawers can't hold every thing :D I love her lil garden tea party room... I love just sitting in the rocking chair with my lil munchkin and looking at her room's cuteness and of course the cutest lil thing in there-- my lil Kensi!!!

A few other things that make me smile no matter what other than my bundle of joy--

a spotless house!! I am a clean freak and love when my house is squeaky clean... this however cannot happen all the time with a lil cutie... So I have to take my mom's quick tips for a clean house

1. A made bed makes a bedroom look a thousand times cleaner!!! So that is my goal each day to atleast have that made

2. Carry your stuff with you that needs to be put away when you go to where the stuff goes-- total help!!!

3. Clean the kitchen as you cook AND immediately after din din is done and eaten up :D (this one is the hardest for me)This goes for Kensi's lil bottles too

4. Do one load of laundry a day so it's not overwhelming at the end of the week

My own end of the day regimen is I go through the house and put everything that is out of place and load/unload the dishwasher and clean any dirty bottles... this makes it so my house is all ready to get messy the next day :D

While I'm on the subject of my mom... I love her so much. She is my best friend in the whole wide world.... and I love my daily conversations with her(even if they may only be a couple of mins) She is the older version of me and I hope that I will continue to be like her.. She was always such an amazing mom and friend to me. She always is looking out for my sisters and I. Even now... she sends me clothes for Kensi all the time(she works at Gap and she knows money isn't growing on trees while me and Bri are in school) so she is the reason my lil girl has clothes. I know it's not much.. but whenever I think about it I'm filled with gratitude and can't help but cry. It's a small gesture but it means so much to Bri and I. I love my mom and it's only fitting I finish this up about her.

I know this blog has been SUPER random... but just had a lot of ideas and things I had on my mind :D Toodles for now!!!!

Happy 2 Months to Kensi!!!!

Today our little munchkin Kensi turned two months!!! Oh my goodness.. I can't believe how fast she is growing up--reasons I take so many stinking pics of her ha She is just the best little girl---she's constantly smiling and cooing

Today was her lil two month old appointment too-- poor lil thing had to get three shots!!! Luckily our nurse was speedy quick :D I couldn't believe how fast she got those buggers done. This was the first appointment Bri got to go to with us since he's working different hours at work now. We love her doctor... hes just way cute with her!!! Shes 23 inches and ways 11 lbs 7 ozs now!!! She's just chunking on the weight hehe He said everythings looking good with her and that she's just a happy little thing!!! Her lil foot just keeps looking better and better too so thats always good!!!! Yay Kensi!!!! We love her so much and am so lucky that we have her to brighten our day EVERY day :D

Kensington's Blessing :D

Today was Little Miss Kensington's BIG day--the day she got blessed!!!! She looked so dang cute in the pretty little blessing dress that Great Grandma Bassett made for her and little bonnett too!!! Her daddy did such a good job and it was cute because you could hear just a lil bit of nervousness in his voice. She was so good during sacrament, except she wanted to chit chat just a little bit :D We had a little tiny luncheon up at our house after with tons of yummy food and even better-- most of our family was there!!!

Here we are again!!!


It really was a perfect little day. I can't believe how big our lil munchkin is getting. She's still just a little teeny tiny petite thing... but shes chunkin on the weight :D As she's getting meat on her... Bri and I think she's starting to look more like how I looked when I was just a lil baby. We love her so much and were so happy to have most of our family up for her special day!!!

One Year Today!!!

I can't believe that a year ago today I married my best friend in the whole wide world. He is the sweetest,kindest, most loving hubby a gal could ask for!!!




My wedding day was the HAPPIEST day of my life(well tied for first with the day we had Kensi)!! I figured I would make a list of a few of the reasons why I love my bri-guy so much :D

• He always tells me I look cute everyday (sometimes a couple times a day even) even if I am looking my worst with no make-up in sweats with just letting my hair go wavy
• The last thing he asks me before he goes to bed EVERY night... is if there is anything I need him to do for me before he goes to bed and he does it... even if it's taking the trash out in the freezing cold :D
• He still looks at me the way he did when we were dating... that giddy happy look that makes your heart just smile
• He's so hardworking and wants the best for our lil family-- he works and goes to school fulltime so that he can hurry and graduate so he can make life just a little bit easier
• His main goal in life is to make me happy-- example-- he knew going back to work after Kensi was not what I wanted and that I was sad and he stayed up til 3 am with me to figure out a plan to make it work so I would not have to go back the next day
• He loves me and Kensi and Daisy so much-- and he tells us ALL The time!!!
• Did I mention how cute he is???? ;)
• He's a kid at heart just like me...and even though he makes fun of me for it... he will sit down and color in a hello kitty coloring book with me and he always makes sure I have crayons (when I went to Denver for business-- I came home to new crayons and a spongebob coloring book)
• He's not afraid to cry and gets along with everyone!!
• He's VERY smart and studies so dang hard!! I admire him for that because studying has never been something I'm too great at.
• He has a strong testimony and loves the church!!!
• Basically, this boy is perfect for me in every way!!!

I love my bri-guy so much and have no clue how I got so lucky with him!! Happy ONE YEAR anniversary Bri!!!! xoxo
